Doheim Named Finalist in Inaugural SVINnovation Challenge

Pittsburgh, PA, November 15, 2022 – Mohamed F. Doheim, clinical research fellow at the UPMC Stroke Institute, will present at the Society of Vascular and interventional Neurology (SVIN) annual meeting in Los Angeles, California, on November 16 as a finalist in the inaugural SVINnovation Challenge.

For the challenge, teams submit an application detailing an idea for software or a device concept that has the potential to solve problems in the field of vascular and interventional neurology. Out of all applicants, Doheim’s presentation, “Precision Stroke: An Integrative AI Powered Software Supporting Informed Decision Making for Acute Ischemic Stroke” is one of four finalists.

Doheim will have ten minutes to pitch his presentation and have a discussion with panelists, who are professors and stroke directors from top universities as well as industry CEOs and senior directors. The winning presenter will receive a $10,000 award to help move forward with their innovation.
