Biographical Sketch:

Estevana Isaac-Nyamwaro, MD, MSCR is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Clinical Director of Cognitive Disorders at the University of Pittsburgh. She is a board-certified and fellowship-trained cognitive/behavioral neurologist and clinical researcher. Her clinical research focuses on comparative effectiveness analysis of different interventions and strategies implemented in “real world” settings as well as clinical trials addressing pharmacological management of neurocognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms due to neurodegenerative disease, including Alzheimer’s Disease, Lewy Body Dementia and Frontotemporal Dementia as well as non-neurodegenerative etiologies such as vascular disease. She uses principles from community engagement research, including mutual respect and equitable collaboration to help build trust and increase participation in the local communities she serves.
