Jenny Linnoila, MD, PhD

Biographical Sketch

Jenny Linnoila, MD, PhD, is a clinician-scientist in the field of autoimmune neurology. She initially built her clinical expertise in autoimmune neurology during her fellowship training; at the time, it was the only fellowship available in autoimmune neurology and she was the only fellow during her training. During her time at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Linnoila served as the Associate Director of the Autoimmune Neurology Unit of the Division of Neuroimmunology and Neuroinfectious Diseases in the Department of Neurology. She founded the Autoimmune Neurology Interest Group, which serves as a monthly lecture series, and actively participated in working groups across the MGH system in order to outline guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune neurologic disorders.

Dr. Linnoila has served nationally as an abstract reviewer, moderator, and speaker in autoimmune neurology for American Academy of Neurology annual meetings; internationally, she has been part of the Autoimmune Task Force for the International League Against Epilepsy, which developed consensus guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune epilepsy.
