Christopher Miao, MD

Biographical Sketch

Chris Miao is a second-year neurology resident with interests in stroke, neurocritical care, and interventional neurology. He is interested in pursuing fellowship in stroke and interventional neurology. His notable honors and awards include NIH T35 Award, IMPRS Poster symposium Award, and the E. D. Johns Scholarship Recipient.  A fun fact about him is that he collects sneakers, with a currently collection of 30+ pairs. He decided to come to UPMC for training because of the diversity of patients as well as the welcoming culture. His favorite rotation in residency has been medicine floors because of the fun team dynamics and the responsibilities of patient care. His interests outside of work are playing basketball, soccer, working out, and video games.
