Biographical Sketch

Dr. Karan Philip is a board-certified neurologist and fellowship-trained vascular neurologist at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology. His clinical interests span acute stroke management, neurovascular imaging, and neurohospitalist care.

Dr. Philip earned his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India, and completed his neurology residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, where he also served as Chief Resident and Quality Lead. He subsequently completed a Vascular Neurology Fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago. He holds board certifications in Neurology and Vascular Neurology and is credentialed in neurovascular interpretation by the American Society of Neuroimaging.
