Biographical Sketch

Matt is a fourth-year neurology resident with clinical interests in vascular neurology, dementia spectrum disorders, and general neurology. His research interests explore the intersection of cognition and neuroimaging with focus on cerebrovascular risk factors and dementia biomarkers. He is participating in the Resident Research Track, exploring cognitive trajectories in aging populations with Alzheimer’s Disease receiving amyloid therapies with clinical assessments, novel blood biomarkers, and neuroimaging. He will begin vascular neurology fellowship next year to start his clinical career in acute stroke management, quantitative neuroimaging and neurosonology, and the prevention of cerebrovascular-related cognitive impairment. Outside of residency, his interests include long distance running, live music, and going to the movies. He is an active member of the American Heart Association and its Stroke Council initiatives.
