Biographical Sketch
Dr. Semira Ramic received her undergraduate degree from Grand View University in Des Moines, IA with dual degrees in Biology and Chemistry graduating summa cum laude. She pursued her medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine also in Des Moines, IA. She completed her Neurology residency at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA where she served as chief resident in her final year of training. She went on to complete a Neuromuscular Medicine fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. She practiced in rural Iowa for 8 years concentrating on both outpatient and inpatient neurology including rehabilitative services with a concentration in neuromuscular medicine. She subsequently transitioned to inpatient neurology and serves as a Tele-Neurohospitalist in the Northwestern Pennsylvania region.
