Training Programs

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Department of Neurology provides medical education in a wide variety of forums through the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. The faculty also contributes to undergraduate and graduate-level education in other schools at the university and to the continuing education of their professional colleagues.

Medical School Curriculum

The Clinical Neurology clerkship is a third-year core clerkship. Students are scheduled per preference in one of six clinical sites: the inpatient ward service, the inpatient consults service, the VA medical center, Shadyside Hospital, Children’s Hospital, and neurology outpatient clinics. Learn more »
