PGY-3 Resident

Biographical Sketch

Aakaash is a third-year neurology resident with interests in stroke, neurocritical care, and medical education. He is interested in pursuing fellowship in either vascular neurology or neurocritical care. His honors included Induction in the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. He is passionate about community medicine and outreach in underserved areas. He also is passionate about palliative care and improving bedside manner in modern medicine. A fun fact about him is he is somewhat ambidextrous. He decided to come to UPMC for training because of the patient volume and variety of complex cases as well as the infectious camaraderie among residents and faculty. His favorite rotation in residency is neurocritical care because of the complexity of sick patients and being able to manage all portions of patient’s care. Outside of work Aakaash is interested in cooking, mixology, traveling, snowboarding, golf, basketball and all things Cleveland.
