Vision Statement:
The Neurohospitalist Division of the UPMC Department of Neurology aims to elevate inpatient neurological care across all hospitals while nurturing a culture of collaboration and collegiality. We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care, promoting professional growth, ensuring optimal resource allocation, and driving clinical innovation to improve outcomes for patients with neurological conditions.
Mission Statement:
The Neurohospitalist Division is committed to elevating the standard of care for hospitalized patients with neurologic illness through quality improvement, education, refinement of care, and collaboration. We hold regular case conferences and division meetings to consistently refine coverage approach to ensure consistent, high-quality care across all facilities. We also devise & implement QI initiatives that improve outcomes and operational efficiencies, and encourage the submission of innovative research ideas to advance the field of neurology. We are also developing a Neurohospitalist Fellowship Program to train the next generation of neurohospitalists.
