Biographical Sketch

Nirav Bhatt, MD, completed his residency in neurology and fellowship in vascular neurology at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then worked as an assistant professor of Neurology within the division of vascular neurology at Grady Memorial Hospital/Emory University school of medicine in Atlanta. He joined the UPMC Stroke Institute as an assistant professor of neurology and serves as the director of Comprehensive Stroke Center at UPMC - Presbyterian Stroke Program. Throughout his career he has won several highly recognized awards for his dedication towards professional excellence, teaching and research. He has been involved in several multicenter clinical trials and his research interest includes Pre- hospital Management of Stroke, acute stroke care, and secondary prevention of high-risk stroke patients.
