Biographical Sketch:

Roshini Chandrasekhar is a first-year neurology resident at UPMC. Born in Boston, she spent her early years in Pittsburgh before moving to Chennai, India, and later earned her MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. She was drawn to UPMC for many reasons including the renowned faculty, diverse subspecialty exposure and warm, family-like culture that supports its residents. She is excited to once again call Pittsburgh home. Roshini is eager to explore all areas of neurology, with particular interests in movement disorders, neuro-ophthalmology, and women’s neurology. Outside the hospital, she enjoys exploring local bookstores and coffee shops, reading science fiction and fantasy, and watching and playing tennis with friends and family.

Specialized Areas of Clinical, Research and/or Education Interests:

She is passionate about all of neurology but has a special interest in movement disorders, neuro-ophthalmology and women’s neurology. Beyond her clinical interests, she is deeply committed to medical mentorship and exploring innovative ways to leverage social media as a platform to foster education, professional development and community among trainees.
