PGY-4 Resident

Biographical Sketch

Swapna Musunur is fourth year neurology resident with plans to begin Vascular Neurology fellowship at UPMC in 2026. She originally from the Detroit area but has lived in several places throughout her training including Durham, Boston and NYC. She was drawn to UPMC for its excellence in stroke and general neurological care in addition to the wonderfully collegial culture of the program. Prior to residency at UPMC she worked as a consultant for Boston Consulting Group on projects in MedTech, Health Systems and Global Health. Her interests include stroke care, innovation, medical education and systems-level improvement. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors with friends and family, catching live music, and being a bit of a film nerd.
