The UPMC Neuroendovascular Center is one of the highest volume centers in the country. The fellowship includes training in the whole gamut of neuro-interventional procedures such as diagnostic angiography, stroke intervention, extra and intracranial stenting, aneurysm coiling, AVM and A-V fistula embolization, and spinal diagnostic angiography and interventions.
Fellows are trained by an interventional team comprised of vascular neurologists and vascular neurosurgeons. The UPMC neuroendovascular fellowship has a strong track record of training neurologists and is multidisciplinary; being fully integrated within neurology and neurosurgery. Considerable experience is obtained from an extremely active acute stroke service and a busy vascular neurosurgery practice.
One fellowship position is offered yearly.
